Blogger Guide

This guide walks you through the full blogger workflow on AvatarShot — from finding a brand to getting your post approved.

How the System Works

Brands list products they want blogged. You apply to a brand, get accepted, pick a product, receive it in-world, create your content, and submit the link. The brand reviews it and approves or rejects it. That's the whole loop.

Step 1 — Find a Brand

Go to avatarshot.com/blogger-hub and switch to the Brand Opportunities tab. You'll see all brands currently hiring bloggers.

• Use the search bar to filter by brand name or category
• Each card shows how many bloggers the brand already works with
• Click View Products to browse what's available before applying
• Click Apply Now when you're ready

You can also apply directly from a brand's Blogger Recruitment Box in-world — touch it and follow the prompts. A new AvatarShot account is created automatically if you don't have one yet.

Step 2 — Submit Your Application

The application form asks for:

• Your Flickr, blog, or social media link (shows the brand your style)
• A short message introducing yourself (optional but recommended)

After submitting, your application shows as Pending on the brand card. The brand will accept or decline it — you'll get a notification either way.

Step 3 — Pick a Product

Once accepted, go to your Blogger Dashboard. Under My Brands, click the brand name to see its available products.

• Each product shows its name, description, and any specific blogging requirements
• Click Claim to request it — the brand's in-world box will deliver it to your avatar
• You can only claim one product per brand at a time until the assignment is completed or cancelled

Step 4 — Receive the Product In-World

After claiming, your assignment status becomes Pending. The brand's delivery box sends the item to your avatar in Second Life automatically.

• Check your Objects folder in inventory — the item arrives as a folder or object
• If you don't receive it within a few minutes, use the Redelivery tab on your Blogger Dashboard to request it again
• Status changes to Items Sent once the bot confirms delivery

Step 5 — Create and Submit Your Content

Wear or rez the product, take your photos, and publish them on your platform (Flickr, AvatarShot feed, Instagram, blog, etc.).

Then go to the Assignments tab on your Blogger Dashboard, find the assignment, and paste your link(s):

• Select the platform from the dropdown (Flickr, AvatarShot, Instagram, TikTok, Primfeed, Blog, YouTube, Other)
• Paste the direct URL to your post or photo
• Add more links with + Add another photo link if you posted on multiple platforms
• Add an optional note to the brand, then click Submit Links

Status changes to Posted — the brand is now reviewing your work.

Step 6 — Wait for Approval

The brand will either Approve or Reject your submission.

• Approved — assignment is complete, your reputation score goes up, and the brand may leave positive feedback
• Rejected — you'll see the rejection reason; you can resubmit with corrected links if the brand allows it

Deadlines and Extensions

Every assignment has a deadline. If you need more time:

1. On the assignment card, click Need more time?
2. Select how many extra days you need (1–7) and give a brief reason
3. The brand approves or declines the extension request

Missing a deadline without an approved extension gives you a Yellow Card. Two yellow cards result in a Red Card (temporary suspension from applying to new brands). Keep your reputation score high by delivering on time.

Redelivery

If you lose the product in-world (inventory loss, accidental deletion), go to the Redelivery tab on your Blogger Dashboard. It lists all active assignments where redelivery is available. Click Redeliver to my avatar and the bot sends it again.

Announcements

Brands can post announcements to all their bloggers. Check the Announcements tab on your dashboard regularly — brands use this for new product drops, event info, and rule updates. You can reply directly from the dashboard.

Invitations

Brands can invite you directly without you applying first. Check the Invitations tab — you can accept or decline each one. Accepting an invitation skips the application step and adds you to the brand immediately.

Your Public Blogger Profile

Your blogger profile at avatarshot.com/blogger/profile/{id} is visible to brands. It shows your reputation score, completed assignments, average rating, and on-time rate. Keep it strong — brands browse the Blogger Directory to find and invite bloggers directly.
