Featured Content
Featured Content allows you to promote your posts, events, stores, or any AvatarShot content to a wider audience. Featured items appear prominently on the Feed page and receive significantly more visibility.
What is Featured Content?
Featured Content is a paid promotion system that places your content in a highlighted section at the top of the Feed. It's perfect for:
- Promoting a new product launch
- Advertising an upcoming event
- Showcasing your photography or portfolio
- Driving traffic to your store or brand page
- Promoting a contest or giveaway
How It Works
- Submit a request — Fill out the Featured Content Request Form
- Review — Our team reviews your submission (usually within 24 hours)
- Payment — If approved, pay the admin (Slender Huntsman) in-world in L$
- Go live — Your content goes live on the scheduled date
Content Guidelines
All featured content must follow these guidelines:
- Content must be related to Second Life
- Images must be high quality (minimum 1200px wide)
- Main image must have a 3:2 aspect ratio (e.g. 1200×800)
- Small image (optional) must have a 16:9 aspect ratio (e.g. 1280×720)
- No misleading or clickbait titles
- Content must match the selected maturity rating
- URL must link to valid AvatarShot content or an external SL-related page
- No hate speech, harassment, or illegal content
- Brands/stores must have an active AvatarShot presence
Featured content may be edited or rejected if it doesn't follow these guidelines. Rejected submissions will receive a reason and can be resubmitted.

The main image is displayed in the featured grid on desktop. The small image is used for mobile and compact views.
Maturity Ratings
Featured content follows the same maturity system as regular posts:
- G (General) — Suitable for all audiences
- M (Moderate) — May contain mild themes
- A (Adult) — Adult content, shown only to users with A filter enabled
- A+ (Explicit) — Explicit content, restricted visibility
Featured content with higher maturity ratings will only be shown to users who have enabled those filters.
FAQ
Can I cancel my featured content?
Once paid and activated, featured content cannot be cancelled or refunded. Make sure your start date is correct before paying.
Can I edit my featured content after submission?
You can resubmit a new request if your current one is still pending. Once approved and paid, changes require contacting an admin.
What happens if my content is rejected?
You'll receive a reason for the rejection. You can fix the issues and submit a new request at no cost.
Can I feature content for my brand/business?
Yes! When filling out the form, you can assign the featured content to a business/brand you manage.
How do I pay?
After approval, pay Slender Huntsman in-world via L$ transfer. Include your request title in the payment message.
